Customize Your eLearning Academy’s Pages – Step 3


At this stage, focus on the pages for your online academy.

Don’t overcomplicate your e-learning website. Edit the content aiming to cover what your audience (customers and learners) needs on each page. When writing text and adding images or videos, it helps to define a single goal for each page.

To edit your academy’s website pages navigate to the Site Builder. In the left menu click on ‘Website’, then the ‘Edit website’ button at the top.

Key pages to edit in your eLearning website

On the left side of the website editor, you can navigate through your website pages, create new, and eliminate existing ones. Pages are grouped by category, so just click on one of them to populate the pages inside.

Here is the list of groups and the minimum pages required to edit in each:

External pages on your eLearning website

External pages: Opened to all visitors, add the content that your audience needs to become customers. With the starter plan you can publish 3 pages, so make sure to edit:

  • Home: Describe the results you offer and why visitors can trust you and your courses. Add your expertise and/or some testimonials.
  • Courses: Introduce what they will find here and list all your courses to encourage visitors to enroll.
  • About: Introduce who you are, explain your expertise, your mission and vision, and offer contact methods if you want.

Policies pages on your eLearning website

Policies: Adapt the content on these pages to meet legal requirements based on your region.

Resources for creating these pages can be found online, including templates and platforms, or consult your manager if available.


System pages on your eLearning website

System Pages: You can also customize the content on these essential pages only accessible for your academy learners:

  • Access Requested Rejected: Inform users their access has been denied.
  • Access Requested Under Review: Inform users their access is pending review.
  • After Login: Direct users after they log in.
  • Email Verification Pending: Require account email verification.
  • Error: Inform users of a non-existent page (404 error).
  • Payment: Set up the course payment page.
  • Thank You: Create a thank you page for post-purchase.

How to edit the content on each page

Editing Content and Design

In the website editor, simply click on the content of the page you want to customize, and the editing bar will appear on the right.

The icons at the top of the bar are for:

  1. Moving Content: Adjust the position of the content.
  2. Copying, Pasting, and Duplicating: Manage content sections.
  3. Editing HTML: Customize the HTML code.
  4. Deleting Sections: Remove unwanted sections.

Customizing Content

In the upper part of the editing bar, use the tabs to personalize content, format, behavior, and appearance:

Text Tab: Define text style and content.

  • Text Type: Choose the style and size.
  • Text Content: Write your text for this section.
  • Font Properties: Change the font and opacity if needed.
  • Text Shadow: Add a shadow effect to the text if desired.

Actions tab on the page content editor

Actions Tab: Choose what happens when the section is clicked and its visibility.

  • On Click: Select the action from the dropdown menu.
  • Visibility: Choose who can see this section and on which devices.

Layout tab on the page content editor

Layout Tab: Configure background color and spacing.

  • Box Appearance: Define the section’s color.
  • Box Model: Set the border and line style, spacing, and margin.

Effects tab on the page content editor

Effects Tab: Animate the section’s appearance and interaction effects.

  • Entrance Animation: Choose an animation type, duration, and behavior.
  • Scrolling Effects: Define an effect for the section and on which devices it activates.

Image Tab: When editing an image, instead of the Text tab, you have the image customization options.

  • Image: Upload the desired image.
  • Size: Set the image dimensions.
  • Alt: To type the alternative text of the image
  • Popup: To open the image when clicking on it.
